Mesothelioma is a unique disease if it is compared to other disease. Even with the same disease in the canopy of cancer disease, mesothelioma still has it own uniqueness rather than other cancer. The uniqueness is that the mesothelioma symptoms will not occur to the surface until it is reach the acute stage. The timing of the mesothelioma symptoms to be obvious reaches up to some decades, some even reports 50 years, after the first cancer cells is growing in the tissue that covers the organ of the body, unlike the other cancer that attack the organ itself.

After the mesothelioma disease got acute, it will show the obvious mesothelioma symptoms. The first symptom is shortness in breath and of course the pain in the chest. The shortness of breath and the pain in the chest is caused by the accumulation of fluid in the lungs area as the symptoms of the pleural mesothelioma. The other kind of mesothelioma, peritoneal mesothelioma, bring another symptoms such as extreme weight loss and pain in the abdominal part of the body, even swelling caused by the huge amount of fluid in the abdominal. Other symptoms are anemia, bowel obstruction, blood abnormalities, and fever. The more acute mesothelioma shows other symptoms such as swelling in the neck and the lower part of the face and pain and trouble that happens when the patient swallows.
